Over 16 years, 5 kids...

and not an outdoor family photo?!

This my friends is a travesty! And not even rain (rain, rain and more rain...) soggy ground and an unexpected chilly morning could stop us from getting your adorable and much deserved family some wonderful photos.

My Family Session!!

Dear my Momma,

Thank you!!

Chris has been my photographer while I "drove from the backseat" on multiple occasions but never my very own Momma and you did great. 
 
I am always the one who takes the pictures of everyone and last weekend not only did you watch our little people so I could go on dates with my boyfriend and eat insanely yummy food but you helped me get family pictures for our Christmas card!

Usually I do the "self taken" family picture and good night! As my boys get older it is getting more and more difficult. Plus, I'm always concentrating solely on the photography aspect and the remote/tripod ridiculous setup and less on having fun with all my guys.

No lie this was the worst session I've ever had. It was full of whining and fits galore, terrible light because we didn't wake up early enough. On top of all that I got frustrated and I never get frustrated during sessions! It was probably because I wanted sweet pictures so so badly and I knew this was our only shot.

Mom you were a champ in being my proxy, watching you be the photographer was really fun. The blanket on the head bit... genius. You were patient with me constantly making camera adjustments, kind when I got discouraged, and even when the camera was off the tripod you listened to my suggestions and angles I wanted. I can't thank you enough because I love that I too get to have special pictures of my people this year!

Between the three of us taking turns as the shooter we got totally adorable pictures! I'm so happy. 

Looks like I now have my very own Mamatograher :)

EveryDay Life Session: The Cummings Family

Coffee in hand I patiently waited to meet Faye and Dave's family for our early morning session. Early mornings are the best. The light is soft, warm, gorgeous. In photo world it's simply perfect. Meeting at 8 o'clock in the morning is hard work for anyone but throw in two other families and 7 kids... I feel its nothing short of a miracle!

Prepare to blush Faye because I'm about to brag on you ;)

To put it simply I totally adore Faye. She fights with me and for that I love this girl. She fights with me for joy in Christ, for my marriage, grace and growth in Jesus that changes my sinful often cold heart. We have walked through tough times together and come out the other side, I can say I'm a better women, mama and most importantly wife and follower of Christ because of our friendship.

Ya. She's pretty awesome.

The session was really fun despite a little chilly weather, multiple meltdowns and a couple of breaks to play hide and seek in the field. All in all I laughed a lot.

Did I mention they are all staying at Dave and Faye's house for their 8 days stay! I'm sure it's a lot of work but wow what memories and fun to have cousin fun and sleepovers with Grandma and Grandpa for over a week. Lucky bunch if you ask me.
